Growing up in the desert region of eastern Washington State, he was trained in analog photography before becoming musically active in Portland, Oregon in the late 1990&#8217;s. There he was part of a fertile music community and organized a large amount of concerts, small festivals, and collaborations, as well as forming the record label\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sacredrealism.org\/rasbliutto\/index.html\">Rasbliutto<\/a>\u00a0with Jean Paul Jenkins and Joseph Foster in 2001 (operating until 2011). From 2005 to 2013 he continued to be an active musician and organizer in New York City, working most often with Andrew Lafkas in a variety of contexts as collaborator and co-curator, and is currently living in Berlin, Germany. He has no formal musical training and is, for the most part, an autodidact, although he received an MFA in 2012 from the Milton Avery School of the Arts at Bard College. He works with the soprano saxophone, electronics of his own design, and computer music. His music is not easily identified as it is constantly in flux. His main instrument is the guitar. All of his guitars are heavily modified with electronics.<\/p>\n<p>Currently he is using a guitar played through custom made synths of his own design.<\/p>\n<p>His business (Buzz-R-Electronics.com) is making experimental controllers and instruments for others.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/dougtheriault.org\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">http:\/\/dougtheriault.org<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Interference knows no hesitation, manifesting itself through circumstantial entanglements of unusual phenomena which may or may not be caused by human choices. Through their work with electronics, controlled by a sensor guitar and by an &#8220;open circuit&#8221; respectively, Theriault and Eubanks give birth to an earnest album of incendiary dissonance; yet, the desperate anguish of extended distorted frequencies and incumbent radioactive rainfalls often finds openings towards a strange agonizing calm, in which the &#8220;big clouds&#8221; seem to leave some space to the noise of a motor airplane in between the siren-like calls of distant car alarms whose battery will die only after an eternity of tormented ecstasy. Vid sidan av hennes utbildning har hon varit aktiv inom flertalet musikaliska konstellationer och grupper med vilka hon har turnerat och spelat med i bland annat England, Australien, Indonesien, Ungern, Kroatien, V\u00e4stindien och Frankrike. Under dessa utlandsturn\u00e9er har hon spelat p\u00e5 scener som bl a Operahuset i Sydney, Centre Georges Pompidou, Le Louvre och Cite de la Musique i Paris, Nefertiti i G\u00f6teborg och Stadshuset, Fasching, Glenn Miller Caf\u00e9 och Nalen i Stockholm. Kanske beror det starka uttycket av dess genrel\u00f6shet som bryter sig ut och l\u00e5ter sig vara nyskapande. I hans grupp Trophies medverkar den japanske gitarristen och samisenvirtuosen Kenta Nagai som p\u00e5 ett precist s\u00e4tt skapar en harmoni med de tal-formationer som Bosetti konstruerar. Both in his solo music and with his trio Trophies, he explores what he calls \u201crepetitive speech-loop forms.\u201d Frequently, this involves him recording people either reading lines or speaking extemporaneously, then transposing the recordings into written music. Often, Bosetti then speaks the same words himself in conjunction with that music. On his latest solo CD Royals and Trophies\u2019 new album Become Objects of Daily Use (both released by Polish label Monotype), he constantly questions the roles of music and speech: whether they convey literal meaning, act as pure sound, or do something in between \u2026\u00a0<em>Marc Masters \u2013 Pitchfork<\/em>\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/pitchfork.com\/features\/the-out-door\/8012-the-out-door-16\/3\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&gt;&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/p>\n<p>What Alessandro Bosetti is doing is truly new\u2014and in an era of revisionism, that\u2019s saying quite a lot.\u00a0<em>Kurt Gottschalk\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.melgun.net\/wp-content\/uploads\/2013\/10\/STN63_p52.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">&gt;&gt;&gt;<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p>Jag vet inte om jag har uttryckt mig tydligt eller ens t\u00e4nkt ordentligt, d\u00e5 jag f\u00f6ljt mina rysningar l\u00e4ngs ryggraden ner i ryggbastet, d\u00e5 skivan snurrat. P\u00e5 ett egenartat s\u00e4tt har avantgarde och tradition, impro och melodi sm\u00e4lt bort f\u00f6r att p\u00e5 detta s\u00e4tt \u00e5teruppst\u00e5. Och stundtals blir jag s\u00e5 h\u00e4nf\u00f6rd att jag reser mig upp och utropar: Lazarus!
